FAQ's

Unsure about anything at all? Want more information about the typical order process, from here to wedding day? Questions around allergies? Weddings can be stressful, and we want to take away as much of that stress as we can, and ensure you feel as comfortable as possible with the entire process, so please check out some of the most typically asked questions below, but we're always happy to talk, so if you have any questions that aren't covered below, drop us an email and we'll come back to you as soon as possible!

What is the order process, from enquiry to wedding day?
Initial Enquiry
However you enquire (through our contact page, or social media), Laura will review the details, and reach back out to you typically within a day or 2. At that point, we'll arrange a complimentary 15 minute or so phone or video call, which is a great opportunity to discuss in more detail about your wedding, themes, styles and initial vision, as well as providing us with the details we'll need to give you an early idea on price bracket. Importantly though, it's a great way for us to meet each other!
After the call you'll receive a breakdown email from us with the details discussed, that also includes details on how to pay a deposit to secure your date!
Tasting Consultation
The next step, closer to your date, is the exciting part, an hour long tasting consultation! You'll be invited round to sit with Laura and sample our most popular cake flavours over a cup of tea (or a glass of fizz!), and talk in more detail about the design of the cake, and any additional elements (such as florals, charms, colours and details). After this, we'll provide a much more detailed breakdown of your cake's design and requirements, as well as confirming the final price (minus the deposit paid of course).
Your Wedding Day & Cake Delivery
The final payment for the cake is due 4 weeks before your date, but at this point, you can leave everything to us! We'll reach out to the venue and florists, arrange timings and drop off details. On the day of your wedding, we'll deliver the cake and fully set it up (unless advised otherwise) in the location specified. We won't leave until it's as perfect as you deserve, and the first time you see it will be at the ceremony, looking just as you imagined.
How do you determine pricing?
Pricing is based on various things, such as portions required (how many tiers will the cake need to be), complexity of design (will any elements take
additional time to create), location and delivery, additional florals or design elements (charms, toppers etc). Whatever your quote though, please know that we only use the finest of ingredients, and we do not compromise on this. We take great pride in the taste matching the visual, and our cakes are handcrafted with the love and care they deserve.
Do you work directly with the venue and other suppliers, such as florists?
Absolutely! We'll either work directly with your florist to ensure the correct amount of florals are left at the venue for us, or sent directly to us, or we'll use one of our amazing floral partners to source. We'll also order all additional charms etc directly (unless you would like us to use something you already have!), and we'll also liaise with your venue and/or wedding planner to ensure a smooth delivery, on time, in the right place, and ready to wow you!
Do you cater for allergies?
We cater for gluten free, and offer a delicious gluten free cake that has been crafted over many years to save one of Laura's best friends from dry sponge! Unfortunately we do not cater for any additional allergies, though do always encourage you to reach out to ask if you have any specific concerns. We take huge pride in allergen considerations, ensure each bake highlights any allergens contained, but encourage our couples to let us know about any concerns or considerations we should factor in.
We cannot guarantee that any of our products do not contain any substance that may cause some form of allergic reaction, please consider this is a working kitchen full of a wide range of ingredients. You are responsible for advising your guests of this and we will not accept any liability for any loss, damage or injury from exposure to anything which might cause an allergic reaction. This may include, but without limitation, nuts, nut products, alcohol, dairy, wheat, sulphates or colouring.
